The world of business brings with it many unique opportunities and challenges. The success and rewards enjoyed are achieved through the continual striving to improve upon the hard work of yesterday, to build a better and brighter future for tomorrow.
My journey commenced 18 years ago at an international accounting firm, KPMG, where I established the foundations of my business career. My passion for helping businesses has seen me consult to over 1,000 businesses, with having established over 100 new businesses and helped over 300 business owners either sell or retire.
I have developed a unique insight into what makes certain businesses great. Over and over, great businesses consistently show the principles of success that determine their greatness that is, Purposes, Focus, and Resilience. I have a passion to show business owners how they can achieve their own stated greatness drawing on extensive experience working with leading small business.
I am an extremely client focused individual who strives to provide the best possible advice to my clients. My approach of putting the client first has built considerable trust between myself and my clients. I place great emphasis on building and maintaining client relationships.
I have over 18 years experience in professional practice working on diverse client bases ranging from small, medium and large businesses to high net worth individuals. I am a member of CPA Australia, hold a Bachelor of Science from the University of Melbourne, a Graduate Diploma in Accounting from Monash University and I am a registered tax agent.
My experience is diverse from the preparation of tax returns and financial statements for all types of entities, to tax planning and business structuring strategies, to navigating through ATO audits, assisting clients with family law matters and have experience consulting to international corporations. I also have an interest in accounting software and information technology, and have previously spent a number of years as a part time IT manager.
I joined Wilson Pateras to be part of a dynamic and growing organisation that strives to provide the highest quality of advice to its clients whilst developing its people to their full potential.
With over 25 years’ experience in the business services and professional advice space, I have been fortunate to have experienced and given guidance on many tax and non-tax issues over my professional lifetime to a wide variety of clients in industries including manufacturing, law, retail, property, medical and the professional services industries.
A selection of those areas of advice include structuring and restructuring options for businesses and investment using trusts, companies and self-managed superannuation funds dealing with tax such as CGT, GST and Stamp Duty, assistance with audits conducted by various tax bodies and negotiations with the Australian Taxation Office or State Revenue Office on behalf of clients, advice and guidance in relation to family, estate and business succession planning, international tax, deceased estates and management consulting.
I work closely with high net wealth professionals, including specialist advice for Lawyers, Medical Practitioners and Business Owners.

Should you require advice and services outside my authorisation, I will refer to an appropriate representative within our organisation.
I joined Wilson Pateras with 18 years’ experience in professional practice, specialising in areas of taxation for high net worth individuals as well as trusts, companies and Self Managed Superannuation Funds. I am a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) and have a degree in Bachelor of Business – Accountancy.
My main focus is my clients, ensuring that I can assist with the improvement/enhancement of their net worth as well as the facilitation of their daily taxation requirements. This includes maintaining correct records, teaching the use of accounting software programs and identifying efficient and cost effective ways of doing things.
Over the years, one thing that I have learned from a mentor was to always ensure that clients receive a reply on the same day. I can proudly say that this approach has allowed me to maintain a professional relationship with my clients who can rely on a great service and that trust that their needs are given importance.
